The Pend Oreille River is the outflow from lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho. The major inflow is the Clark Fork River. The steam plumes are from the Riley Creek Lumber Mill, and the Cabinet Mountains, including the proposed Scotchman Peaks Wilderness Area, are in the background.
